W.B. Beam Intermediate School is a community school serving fourth and fifth grade students. We are committed to strong academics and offer a variety of enrichment opportunities like, Student Council, Math Masters, Battle of the Books, and Robotics to help students grow and succeed.

School is back in session, and we are pleased to welcome our students, families, teachers, and all employees to the 2026-2027 academic year.  It is our hope that everyone experiences a productive, meaningful, and successful year.

We are proud to welcome our new principal, Mrs. Carlene Falter. Mrs. Falter is looking forward to providing leadership for our school and working with students, teachers, staff, parents, and the community to give us an awesome school year with a focus on higher achievement and more reasons to celebrate.

Thanks to our partnership with Kintegra Health, we offer a telehealth clinic here at our school. Students, who are experiencing a minor illness or condition, can be seen by a medical provider virtually. This allows us to provide care for students without them having to leave school to go to the doctor.

Parent Teacher Conference Day

Parent-Teacher Conference Day is Thursday, October 15. Students will be dismissed early. Conferences will be held in the afternoon. Parents should contact their child’s teacher/school to schedule a conference.

All County Chorus Concert

You are invited to attend the Gaston County Schools All-County Choral Festival on Monday, October 12 at 7:00 p.m. at Stuart W. Cramer High School, 101 Lakewood Road, Belmont.
